A group under the aegis of Global Road Safety Partnership,(GRSP) has tipped Edo State Traffic Control Management Agency (EDSTMA) as one of the best traffic management agency in Nigeria.
The group hailed the agency for its efficient traffic management which has helped solve road problems and eliminate the daily headache associated with commuting to work, school, market etc.
The group called on other states to emulate Edo State policy model on traffic control management.
According to a press release signed by its president, Mr Tunji Ademola, EDTSMA has been consistent and timely in the discharge of its duties which has led to the decrease in road accidents and enhancement of road safety.
The group commended the M.D, Mr Dennis Oloriegbe for his visionary leadership in complementing the efforts of the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki towards securing a safer road for commuters.

“In the course of our traffic efficiency management survey which was carried out in 22 states of the Federation, Edo state came tops in the area of traffic control management.
The State Traffic Control Management Agency in Edo State has consistently helped in controlling and guiding traffic flow in real-time thereby ensuring the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians.
Not only is the agency proactive in carrying out the statutory duties it has helped in no small measure in ameliorating the stress and chaos associated with traffic gridlock.
We call on other state governments to emulate the Edo State model for traffic control management.”
Global Road Safety Partnership,(GRSP) is a non-profit organization established to help spread awareness on road safety tips to help prevent accidents and injuries, and keep society functioning most optimally.
It periodically surveys safety majors applied across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
